The Salvation Army offers basic needs assistance like food, clothing, limited help with rent or utilities, and sometimes emergency shelter or housing support. Many locations also provide disaster relief, holiday assistance (toys/food), and short-term case management or referrals. Specific services depend on local funding and availability.

Utility Assistance

• May have limited funding for emergency needs such as utility assistance to prevent shut-off or rent assistance to prevent eviction. Funds available once a year. Also administers the MEAP fund which assists with payment of heat, electric or water bills.
• Serves residents of 48015, 48021, 48066, 48080-48082, 48088-48093, 48225, 48230 and 48236.
• Must provide shut off notice and denial notice from Department of Human Services. Must be a resident of northern Macomb County.

Food Pantry

• Emergency food program provides a three day supply of food every 60 days. Food pantry is open Monday-Thursday from 10AM-4PM.
• Must be a resident of north Macomb County. Must provide proof of need. Call for additional eligibility requirements.
