Information to Help Southeast Michigan Seniors Access the Covid-19 Vaccine

There are three types  of organizations where older adults in the AgeWays’s six-county Michigan region will be able to get the vaccine:

We have listed Covid-19 vaccine information below for county health departments in each of the six counties in the AgeWays service area. This includes links to online registration forms from county health departments, where available. You can also check the State of Michigan Coronavirus Website for current information: http://bit.ly/MIVaccineInfo for up-to-date information on the vaccine and vaccine access or check Vaccines.gov to find a vaccination appointment near you.

Resources to help older adults who don’t have internet access

We know that some older adults may have difficulty registering online. Unfortunately, we do not have a way to directly help people make appointments. Here are three options for people without internet access:

  1. The MDHHS COVID-19 Hotline/2-1-1 ((888) 535-6136 (Press 1)) will help residents who don’t have access to the internet navigate the vaccine scheduling process. Available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday/Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can also dial 2-1-1 to access the hotline.
  2. Beaumont Health’s Coronavirus Hotline may be a resource. It will help older adults who do not have access to the internet schedule their vaccine appointment at Beaumont. The line is open from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday at (800) 592-4784.
  3. Vaccine Angels. Michigan vaccine hunters is a volunteer group that helps people who are currently eligible find appointments. Submit your information via the Michigan vaccine hunters google form.

 Vaccines for Homebound Seniors

We have created a list of In-Home Covid Vaccination Programs (updated August 25, 2021) throughout our six counties.
