Starpath Adult Day Services
Starpath is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to provide supervised activities, companionship, exercise, and mental stimulation for seniors who cannot be home alone due to stroke, dementia, or other medical conditions. Clients’ schedules are based on family need. Cost share is based on income level. Transportation and personal care services are available.

Transportation

  • Service is provided Monday-Friday from 8:30AM – 3:30PM. Provides transportation to medical appointments, shopping, and errands. Transportation available throughout St. Clair County through a network of Senior Center transportation resources. Will consider request for transportation for medical appointments outside of the county. Provides door to door service. Vehicles are wheelchair accessible.

In-Home Respite

  • In home services provides personal care, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and respite care. Aides are not certified.
  • Must be age 60 or older and a resident of St. Clair County.

Info, Referrals, & Community Liaisons

  • Connects community members to a variety of services, agencies, and businesses which assist senior citizens. 
  • Can help with: Medicare Part D and Prescription Drug Assistance, DHS Paperwork for Medicaid and Other Services, and Home Heating Credit and Homestead Tax.

Home Repairs & Chores

  • Chore program: Will do heavy housecleaning chores including carpet cleaning, window and wall washing, and basement and garage cleaning. Other services include winterizing windows and doors, snow removal, and yard clean-up.
  • Home repair program: Will do minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry which may include ramp construction.
  • Home injury control program: Provides and installs home safety devices such as smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms, grab bars, handrails, bath benches, and handheld shower hose.
  • Must be age 60 or older and a resident of St. Clair County. Home injury control: Call for application and income guidelines.

Assistive Equipment Loan

  • Loan closet provides canes, walkers, wheelchairs, shower benches, commode seats, and raised toilet seats. No limitations on time equipment can be borrowed.
