Senior Center
The Shelby Township Senior Center offers a wide variety of activities for adults age 50 and older to support mental, physical, and social health. Membership is required for all programs and must be renewed each year; the cost is $5 for Shelby Township and Utica residents or $10 for non-residents. Services include transportation, a free community loan closet for medical equipment, puzzles and brain teasers for cognitive stimulation, physical activity opportunities, and social groups.

Transportation

• Service is provided Monday-Friday, 9 AM-4:30 PM. Medical transportation is available Monday-Friday within Shelby Township, Utica and to Crittenton, Troy Beaumont, Henry Ford Lakeside or Henry Ford Macomb hospitals. Non-medical transportation available Monday-Friday within Shelby Township and Utica. Bus equipped with a wheelchair lift.
• Must be age 50 or older and a resident of Shelby Township or Utica. Riders must be able to use service independently or must be accompanied by an assistant.

Assistive Equipment Loan

• Crutches, canes, portable commodes, walkers, and wheelchairs are available to borrow on a short-term basis. No delivery is available.
