CCWC provides community-based programs to support older adults through life’s later stages. Services promote dignity and well-being, while focusing on caregiving, maintaining a safe and secure living environment, and accessing community resources. Services include:
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
- Provides grandparents, and other relatives caring for children, with information about self-care, childcare, and the assurance that families with generational gaps are not alone.
Volunteer Caregiver Respite
- Matches volunteers trained to provide respite assistance to families caring full-time for a home bound adult age 60 or older. Volunteers visit with a frail senior to provide non-medical support, companionship, and socialization.
Home Maintenance and Safety Services
- Chore services available to help older adults maintain their independence and keep them safe at home.
Medicare/Medicaid Assistance
- Seniors and adults with disabilities receive assistance in making informed decisions regarding health insurance and prescription drug coverage to best meet their needs.
Resource Advocacy
- Provides information and referrals that best meet the needs of seniors and caregivers to maintain independence at home.
